Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the cheapest apartments in downtown Manhattan?

The short answer is that the further east you go, the cheaper the rent. Alphabet City, the most eastern part of the east village, has some of the best deals for rental apartments.  Keep in mind though; living in Alphabet City isn’t for everyone.  Some people are happy to go to the East Village for dinner or drinks, but would never consider living there.  Others couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.  So, like any other neighborhood you might consider moving to, spend some time walking the streets and you’ll know pretty quickly if it’s a good fit for you.
